• White is no longer the standard in kitchen coloring. Gray tones have become increasingly popular with kitchen cabinet manufacturers, and are a great alternative to all-white cabinets. Sinks are also getting some color- consider options in colors other than white.
• Watch out for automated innovations like button automated cabinet doors and sensor-activated sinks. Technology is making its way into the kitchen and is there to stay. 
• You don't have to break your bank with granite countertops. Granite look-a-likes and wood countertops are also a new trend.
