Find out what happened when an act of God turned St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church in Annandale, VA into a flood worthy of an Ark.

"Our church building ... has long suffered drainage problems in and around the church building resulting in water intrusion, mold and mildew, and wood rot/decay. These problems were linked to the water table, runoff from the roof and improper grading around the church building. The church's Major Repairs Committee (MRC) contacted Drainage and Erosion Solutions (DES) late in 2012 for a survey and a proposal for the work to be done.

Following their survey of the problems, the President of DES, Mark Lane, and his drainage specialist, David Arias, made two well organized and expertly illustrated presentations first to the MRC and then to the Church Vestry, which was to make any spending decisions. Both company representatives were very helpful in explaining their view of the problems and their recommended solutions. Mr Arias answered our innumerable questions quickly, and modified the DES proposals to meet all of our aesthetic, operations, and engineering concerns. Once the decision was made to proceed with the DES, Mr. Lane answered any further questions on a timely basis and was willing to be flexible in writing the final proposal to meet our needs."
